Rocknel
Fastener, Inc. was founded in 1989 as a 50/50 joint venture of an American and a
Japanese company. In 1998, Meira, Inc. ( formerly Nagoya Screw Manufacturing
Company, Ltd.), bought the
outstanding shares, making Rocknel its wholly owned subsidiary.
With its head office in Nagoya, Japan, Meira,
Inc. is a world class
innovator in the development and production of automotive and aerospace
fasteners. In addition to Rocknel, Meira, Inc. has plants in Japan and Thailand.

Modern Manufacturing Processes
"Our Plant is our Treasure" is our basic
philosophy. Rocknel uses customized equipment and modern manufacturing processes
to assure efficient production of quality parts for our customers.
Some
of our production processes are organized into work cells. In a work cell,
activity is coordinated to reduce work-in-process. For example, a portion of our M6
and M8 heading
and threading machines are combined into a single unit (cell) for greater efficiency and
quality.
Our
modern equipment includes the use of multiple blow high-speed headers with a
quick tool change feature and computerized controls that reduce machine set-up
time. Special computerized controls monitor operations to improve quality.
In
the area of secondary operations, computerized numerical control (CNC) machines
perform additional machining operations to fasteners as needed. Our continuous
line, mesh belt heat treat system, provides exacting control of the heat treat
process that strengthens our fasteners. Our goal is to provide top quality
products meeting our customers' needs.
Quality Policy Statement
Rocknel Fastener, Inc. will make products which meet our customer needs in quality, delivery and value. We will strive to meet our quality objectives and continually improve per our business plan.
Commitment to Quality
Rocknel is committed to maintaining our continuous improvement efforts
defined in our ISO-9001:2000 quality system.
